Booking in your luxury, eco friendly wedding cake!

If you are looking for a bespoke and delicious cake to wow you and your guests, that is inspired by the world around us and is made and designed with eco friendly practices, then hey there, let’s get cracking!

I love working with my couples and hearing all about their special day. To be included in such a milestone life event doesn’t go unnoticed and there is always a healthy balance of excitement and nerves to make sure it’s perfect.

Planning a wedding can be a daunting task, so here is a breakdown of the cake planning process to get you started.

Ganache covered wedding cake with dried flowers

Step One

Let’s get you booked in!

As I only take on 4-6 weddings a month so I can maintain a high standard I advise my couples to book in their date when they have secured their venue.

If you feel like we will be a match made in cake heaven then check availability here

A £100 non refundable deposit books you in, ready to start the design process in due course.

Step Two

The tasty bit!

After your date is firmly in in the diary, I will arrange getting one of our eco cake sample box sent to you in the post to enjoy at home.

Some couples opt to have theirs straight away, whilst others will have theirs a few months before the big day.

You will receive one of my complimentary cake sample boxes containing 5 Classic flavours to try. You can also upgrade to the Deluxe box for an additional £10 or why not go for the full tasting experience and have both sets of flavours! The Deluxe box fee would be added onto your final order.

Step Three

Let’s have a chat

3-4 months before your day, when final numbers, timings of the day and when you have had your last few meetings with the florist and venue, I will be In touch to get a design consultation booked in.

Consultations are held via a zoom link on a Tuesday or Wednesday early evening throughout the year.

I will also send you over a questionnaire to fill in before our video call to get down details of the day. It means we can spend the consultation having a good old chat about your wedding and get a design idea ready.

Following your consultation, I will send you over a selection of cake sketches and quotes. We can then finalise your wedding cake design and flavour choices over email. When you have confirmed all the details on the invoice are correct, we are all set!

Step Four

What happens next?

You can sit back and relax. I will liaise with your venue, the florist (if we are using one) and anyone else who will be involved in the cake planning for the day to arrange delivery and set up.

The final bill is due 4 weeks before your wedding and you can feel safe in knowing everything regarding your cake is in hand.

I will send you over a quick email in the week leading up to your day just to put any anxious minds at ease.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I try your cakes before I book in?

You would be more than welcome to order a cake sample box before securing your date, however although I aim to let couples know if someone else has an interest in the same day it is not always possible if there is a crossover.

I would always advice checking in with me first to make sure we have your date available before purchasing one of our delicious cake sample boxes.

Can I have a consultation before booking?

Although I only hold consultations after a booking has been made, I am more than happy to have a quick chat on the phone if you would like a little more information before making a booking or simply to know I am human and not a cake bot! I am only able to offer consultations on orders over £300

Do you hire cake stands?

A cake stand can really make a cake look even more fantastic so I currently have a range of cake stands available for hire for between £20 and £30 with a £50 - £100 returnable deposit (depending on the stand) which can be used with any order over £100 (cake stand to be returned to Kinson with all packaging included, in the same condition and within the week following the event).

Ask for details when enquiring about your cake or during your consultation and I will recommend which I feel would be perfect for your showstopper.

Do you deliver?

Wedding cakes can be .... interesting to deliver.  You never fully appreciate how brilliant or horrendous British roads are until you are set the challenge of delivering an intricate tiered cake.  It's frightening!

I really would recommend that you let us set up for you, so you can have a completely stress free day.

The first 5 miles from BH11 are included in your wedding quote.  Beyond that I charge £1 per mile and cover Dorset, Wiltshire & Hampshire.  Locations further afield may be possible so get in contact and I will see if I can help.
