I love nothing more than a sunny day down the beach in our beautiful home town of Bournemouth, a drive in our pride and joy 1965 Morris Minor, lovingly named "Hamburger" or simply a cup of tea and a good book.

I originally trained as a modelmaker at university and have since transferred my interests from body filler and clay, to sugar and baking.  It’s been pretty surprising how many skills are transferable.  Turns out precision, detail and never knowing when to stop and walk away from a project, completely relates to cakes as well as models.

I have grown up with my mums baking, who I am now lucky enough to be working along side, baking delicious creations in my fully certified kitchen. We now have a selection of recipes we have perfected, some of which are definitely our family's favourites, including a particularly delicious chocolate banana cake belonging to my husband’s grandparents. I'm pretty sure I can convince even the banana haters among you!

I think my love of cake decorating began when my now mother in law made me the most amazing chocolate box cake for my birthday one year.  The diversity and creative potential of sugar had me hooked and I am continuously on the hunt for new techniques and skills.  I am not too ashamed to admit how freaking  happy it makes me when I manage to get a perfectly sharp edged finish.

I live with my talented and artistic husband who also happens to double up as my fantastic delivery driver (Honestly not sure who is more nervous during the journey).  He makes the most amazing furniture, lighting, skateboards (you name it, he can make it) and is the most creative person I know.

Thank you for taking a look at my work.  Hope to be making a special cake for you soon.
